We just received a photo we had taken of Koen at 6 weeks old and I wanted to share it with everyone. He is my precious baby boy. He was so great for the photographer, don't you love his fat rolls? I love him so much. He is changing so fast.

What a Blessing He Is

My baby is growing up so fast! On August 1st he was blessed, and on Monday he is going in for his 2 month appointment. Has it already been 2 months??? It seems like yesterday I was pregnant and waiting to see him. He is getting so big and has started to smile and coo. He is so adorable! I love being a mom and have waited so long for this moment. Being a mom does, however, come with it's trials. My biggest trial has been feeding! Anyone who says breast feeding is natural has clearly never done it. Here is my little family outside of the church at his blessing. What a blessing he is. It was also a blessing to have so much support from our family. Koen is definately loved. I just realized I haven't posted any pictures of him on my blog yet. Here is one of him before we left the hospital. I promise to post more current ones soon.

Best Birthday Present Ever!

On Saturday I had the most amazing birthday and baby shower! I cannot say thank you enough to Kelly Perkins and Christi Taylor for putting on such a wonderful baby shower. I am also very grateful for everyone who came and/or sent their support for us. We are really excited to welcome our precious Koen into our family! We received some amazing items as well as tons of help to get the big items we have left. Thank you to everyone!!!

First...the belly picture. I have received many requests for a belly picture so here it is:

Here are some pictures from the baby shower. Check out all the amazing gifts as well as the beautiful set-up, cakes, and decorations.

It was such an amazing day!

It's All in the Name

So lately we have been really thinking about what we are going to name our precious little man. We love the name Koen Wesley Blue and I think we have finally settled on the spelling. Koen in German and means bold, daring, and a wise counselor. I think he can be all of those things. He is also being named after Wes' grandfather, Wesley Fetgatter, whom we just lost and love very much. I look forward to telling him where his name came from and about the wonderful man he is named after. Oh, and Koen is also named after his father, my husband, who is also a very wonderful man and a great husband!

The Strangest Feeling

On Wednesday I had the strangest feeling. I have been feeling my little guy kick for quite a while, in fact I think he may be a martial artist. On Wednesday, however, I experienced a first because I had never seen him kick and feel him at the same time. Is was amazing to watch him kick on the ultrasound monitor and feel it. Wes and I were laughing at him because his legs were hinged back the whole time ready to send me kicks. We also laughed because at the beginning of the ultrasound he was moving around like a crazy man and then suddenly stopped and fell asleep. It is amazing how much you can love someone without seeing them on anything but a black and white blurry monitor. Here is a picture of his precious profile and a video from that ultrasound.

It's a Boy!

We just found out we are having a beautiful baby boy! We visited the doctor yesterday evening and everything looks perfect. We are due in June and can't wait to meet him.

I am definately starting to show, it is hard to hide the abnormal bump coming from my stomach. I affectionately like to refer to my bump as "The Chubb." I am at the stage where I am starting to look pregnant, but mostly just chubby.

It's Official!

It is official, I am now a Scentsy Rep! I learned about the Scentsy products many years ago, and always thought about signing up as a rep simply because I personally love the products so much. I finally signed up and am having so much fun with the 80+ scents and cute warmers! I was not able to find anything to make my whole home smell good until I tried Scentsy. Plus...there is no fire! The warmers are 100% safe and never get warm enough to start fires or burn little fingers. A woman I know has actually tried to set a fire with it to simply prove that it won't. She was unsuccessful at starting a fire. She also shared with me that they are allowed for teachers to have them in their rooms because they are so safe. Let me know if you are interested in ordering some, if you simply want to look at a few (I have warmers and plug ins), or if you just want to sit down and smell 80 scents.
