5 Months Old!

Where has the time gone??? Koen is 5 months old today! He is growing and changing so fast. I can't believe how big he is getting. We love him so very much.

Bumbo Chair

Koen has been going through a transition phase where he doesn't like to lay down, but he can't quite sit up on his own. We decided that maybe it was time to get him something he can sit up in. We tried the jumper that hangs in the door...he loves it, but I think it is still a little big for him. We tried the exersaucer...he likes it, but we have to pack tons of blankets in to make it work. So, we decided to purchase the Bumbo baby sitter. We had been considering it for a while, and finally my mom gave us the final push by suggesting it. The verdict...We LOVE IT! Koen loves sitting in it and it gets him off of his back. I would definately recommend it, and I look forward to getting the tray that goes with it.

Max was feeling a little left out...

Because Koen sits at Max's level now, he has started grabbing Max's wiskers. It is hilarious!

Skin and Bones!

I just wanted to share a cute picture of Koen's first Halloween. We found an adorable skeleton t-shirt for him to wear. I can't believe how big he is getting, I was listening to the song "It Won't Be Like This For Long" by Darius Rucker and wow how true it is! I love my little man, he is such a wonderful blessing and addition to my life.
I couldn't decide which one I liked better:)

My Precious Baby Boy

We just received a photo we had taken of Koen at 6 weeks old and I wanted to share it with everyone. He is my precious baby boy. He was so great for the photographer, don't you love his fat rolls? I love him so much. He is changing so fast.

What a Blessing He Is

My baby is growing up so fast! On August 1st he was blessed, and on Monday he is going in for his 2 month appointment. Has it already been 2 months??? It seems like yesterday I was pregnant and waiting to see him. He is getting so big and has started to smile and coo. He is so adorable! I love being a mom and have waited so long for this moment. Being a mom does, however, come with it's trials. My biggest trial has been feeding! Anyone who says breast feeding is natural has clearly never done it. Here is my little family outside of the church at his blessing. What a blessing he is. It was also a blessing to have so much support from our family. Koen is definately loved. I just realized I haven't posted any pictures of him on my blog yet. Here is one of him before we left the hospital. I promise to post more current ones soon.

Best Birthday Present Ever!

On Saturday I had the most amazing birthday and baby shower! I cannot say thank you enough to Kelly Perkins and Christi Taylor for putting on such a wonderful baby shower. I am also very grateful for everyone who came and/or sent their support for us. We are really excited to welcome our precious Koen into our family! We received some amazing items as well as tons of help to get the big items we have left. Thank you to everyone!!!
