Update

Sorry it has been so long, but it has been pretty busy in the Blue house.  Last November we had family pictures taken, and it is incredible to see the differences between last year and this year.  Our family is growing so fast, and we are loving and enjoying ever minute.

We found out at the end of last year that we are expecting a precious baby boy.  We have decided to name him Beckham Prescott Blue, and he is scheduled to join us April 12, 2012.  I am really excited to have a routine c-section this go around after Koen's tramatic birth.  Everything is going perfectly this pregnany, and we continue to pray for a smooth pregnancy and a happy and healthy baby.

Koen is going to be 2 this year and he is starting to talk, run, and his favorite thing is sports.  He loves being outside with his basketball, football, and baseball, and he loves playing on the playground.  He is a constant source of entertainment with his amazing dance moves and fun personality, we think he is pretty fantastic!  He is going to be a wonderful big brother.

Fall in Texas

It has been such a beautiful fall, we couldn't ask for better weather.  We have taken full advantage of it and try to be outside as much as possible.  Koen is at a really fun age where he is starting to enjoy things more and we can get out and do things togethers.  Here are some pictures from a little photoshoot downtown Roanoke and the pumpkin patch.  We are excited to carve pumpkins with him this weekend.  Happy Fall!

Koen's First Birthday

My baby is 1! (Ok, he actually turned one almost a month ago I am just really late with posting it on my blog. Better late then never!) I can't believe how fast he has grown up. The other day I was going through his baby pictures and couldn't believe he was that little. I almost forget that we have gone through the baby stage. He is now a very active little boy who is in to EVERYTHING and definately has his own personality.

To start Koen's birthday we decided to do his first haircut. I had been complaining for a while that my little boy was starting to look like a little girl, but everytime I said I wanted to do it I experienced cold feet. We decided we would commit on his first birthday. Here is a before picture...
After...

He did really well through the haircut until the end and he decided then he was done. He is precious with either hairstyle, but I love boys with short hair. Then, we opened presents. He loved each present very much, and often we had to remind him there were more to open because he was content playing with the already opened one.

Next, cake! This is the best part of a first birthday, watching the baby attack the cake. Koen had a baby sized bundt cake from a fabulous store in Southlake called Nothing Bundt Cakes. Needless to say, he loved it.

He grabbed the whole cake and shoved it into his mouth!

This was one meal he was not sharing with the dogs. He ate the whole thing!

Lastly, we did some swimming. He absolutely loves to swim, so it was perfectly fitting to jump in the pool. Our wonderful little family. I feel so blessed.

Fun in the Pool!

I just want to start by saying, I love Summer! This last week was a little rough with family sickness, but once the weekend hit we were ready to get out of the house and have some fun. We went for drives, out to eat, hung out with Buca, and went swimming. Koen is a little fish! He loves the water and this was his first time this year to get fully in the pool. We found some cute swim trunks and we were ready to go! He has a wonderful floaty that gives him the independence he craves, and he was spashing and kicking all over the pool. The water was a little cold, we braved it for as long as we could, but then we heated the hot tub up a little and finished in the warm water. It was a wonderful weekend, and the start of a summer filled with swimming!
I love that little angel!

First Mother's Day

Mother's Day was wonderful this year, I absolutely love being a mother to my precious Koen. This was my first year as a mother on Mother's Day. The weather was beautiful so we decided to go out and lounge by the pool. Koen was kicking and splashing with his legs over the side so we decided to strip him down to his onesie (w/ a little swimmer) and let him set in the water. He loved it, I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time in the pool this summer.

It was a wonderful day, and I am so appreciative for my mother and everything she has done for my and continues to do for me. By the end of the day, my boys were crashed. I love my little family!
